We do not offer a next day service on skis, because we manually wax the skis fully by hand and set the bindings up prior to shipping. An email is automatically sent to the email address you enter when ordering, we cannot set skis up until we receive your reply to this email. You CAN add priority shipping to a ski order, this will move you into a priority position in the workshop for waxing and setup (Once we have your data) but is not a next day service. For skis this is 10am to allow us time to wax and pack your skis. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday using priority shipping will be shipped on the following Monday. Our couriers and Royal Mail do NOT collect from us on Saturday or Sunday. For a Saturday delivery please contact us.

The development of quality base layers for mountain use has been one of the biggest influences on all-day mountain comfort. In recent years yarns have evolved very quickly to offer fabrics that transport sweat away from the ski rather than absorb it, which is key to ensuring mountain winds don’t chill you.
The minimum you should wear is one next-to-the-skin base layer. On colder days, you can then combine this with a mid-layer, to maintain the breathability to maintain breathability whilst adding an additional layer of warmth. The final layer – your jacket – then battles the elements keeping wind and snow out.
We carry two key base layer lines. Falke use the latest technical yarns, laid into the garment in key places where sweat builds up, to transport it away. On some models, the garment is made in such a way that key muscle groups are supported by the garment to enhance comfort and help with fatigue.
Then, we have Icebreaker, which utilises the natural properties of merino wool to offer protection without odour and itching. In cold weather it is the world’s best natural insulator, and when warmer offers high wicking properties to keep skin dry.
Whatever you choose, a base layer will give you the foundation to a comfortable day on the mountain, tackling moisture, heat and cold silently while you get on with enjoying your day on the slopes.
GARMENT CARE - ICEBREAKER
Looking after your new Icebreaker couldn’t be easier. just throw it in the washing machine (unless it’s an Outerwear Jacket or Black Sheep Knitwear) and line dry. For specific advice on caring for your garment, please check its care label.
Additional Care Instructions:
Icebreaker garments are designed to be easy for you to care for. We recommend that you wash your Icebreaker garments on a normal warm or cool machine wash cycle with regular powder or liquid detergent, not wool detergent. Don’t use fabric softener or bleach. Separate lights and darks as usual. Also, do not expose any Icebreaker garment to heat and do not tumble dry. Line dry or lie flat in the shade.
NOTE: After your first 2-3 uses, we recommend that you wash the garment separately to diminish the appearance of any short fibers from the fabric.
Complete instructions for best results:

Wash like colors together (e.g separate lights and darks)

Wash prints inside out

Close all zippers

Use warm or cool machine wash on a normal cycle (avoid a hot wash, this contributes to shrinkage)

Use regular detergent, not wool detergent

Do not use bleach or fabric softener under any circumstances (your Icebreaker couldn’t be any softer)

Wash occasionally with denim (e.g. jeans with the zipper closed) or other coarse fabrics to remove any loose fibers.

Do not iron prints or labels

Line dry garments – do not tumble dry (except socks, see below)
