The A.M.P. Series cover the broadest range of snow conditions. These skis include technologies and binding systems designed to quiet the ride and maximize control. Each ski is designed with the ‘perfect turn’ in mind, so the construction, shape and profile is specifically engineered to match the skier type and condition and results in more perfect turns with less effort every time you hit the slopes.
The K2 Charger is made for expert-level skiers who charge the steepest firmest terrain. Its Speed Rocker gives you an added level of precision and accuracy as you transition from turn to turn, and the Hybritech Metal Laminate construction creates an unshakable ski when you are at high speed. If the challenge of linking textbook turns on rock hard snow at mach-speed is what you are after, the charger is up for the challenge.
Specification: 122/74/106
Performance: Groomed 70%: Ungroomed 30%
Radius: 16m at 174cm
Construction: Metal Laminate – Hybritech Sidewall
Core: Aspen/Paulownia
Bindings: Marker MX 14.0
Features
Core: Aspen is a solid and dense wood and is known for its inherent strength and durability, while Paulownia is an eco-friendly, fast growing renewable wood that is incredibly strong and lightweight.
Integrated Hub Technology: Titanal hubs are imbedded into the core of the ski for the most direct transmission of power. The system hubs are functionally wider with a 50mm footprint, which decreases the distance between the binding and the edge of the ski for added performance.
Mod Technology: high-Performance Suspension System Mod functions by absorbing vibrations and impact loads along the entire ski, providing stronger edge-hold and a higher degree of power and control. Mod is a secondary core that flexes and moves on top of the primary core, allowing the overall ski flex to be unaffected. The optimum location and thickness of mass differs from men to women. The men’s Mod structure is more X-Shaped, distributing mass to the perimeter for increased edge-hold. The thickest part of the Mod structure in the fore body includes a new technology window.
Mod Monic: A Focused Mass Dampener; The Monic is a solid zinc mass that works in conjunction with the Mod structure to focus mass-dampening at the targeted location. The men’s Mod Monic is slightly heavier and X-Shaped to further complement the Mod structure form.
Metal Laminate: Built with two sheets of lightweight Tiitanal running the length of the ski, metal-laminate skies are the highest performing and most complex construction available from K2. Built from the base up, a metal laminate construction consists of alternating layers of fibreglass and Titanal above and below the wood core. Metal-laminates provides dampened, accurate, unshakable performance ideal for expert-level skiers.
Hybritech Sidewalls: Hybritech is a unique blend of sidewall and cap contractions. The construction combines the accuracy, power and performance of sidewall underfoot with the lightweight characteristics and smooth turn initiation of cap construction.
Speed Rocker: Designed for firm snow. This slightly elevated tip and increased tip length provides effortless initiation and flawless transitions between turns, while camber along the rest of the running surface delivers the mist precision, power and edge-hold of any rocker category.
Our Opinion:
A great piste ski, we really enjoyed this when using it at the ski test in Italy. The ski excelled in hard pack and freshly bashed slopes and you could ski this aggressively and put a lot of faith in it holding its edge, no matter what you were on. It offers a very smooth glide and will allow you to fly down the blacks or cruise on the blues.
Is this for me?:
Ideal for the progressing intermediate to advanced skier who is looking for a predominantly piste ski, but will, if the new snow starts falling, allow you to go around the piste markers and play in the soft stuff.

For skis this is 10am to allow us time to wax and pack your skis. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday using priority shipping will be shipped on the following Monday. Our couriers and Royal Mail do NOT collect from us on Saturday or Sunday. For a Saturday delivery please contact us. Snowpulse bags, due to the nature of the gas cannister in this system, we cannot ship internationally at our standard pricing, as a dangerous goods agent is required to prepare the shipment. In these cases we will contact you with a revised cost before proceeding with the order.

If you are between sizes, a shorter ski will give you shorter turns and a longer ski will be a little faster. If you are comparing to old non-carving skis you will see modern skis tend to be used in shorter lengths.
If you are buying a piste ski this chart should be accurate, if you are looking at an all-conditions ski, and again are between sizes, we suggest the lower of the two lengths. If you are a female skier, also choose the shorter length

Next, adjust the length to match your ability:

Decide on your ski level using the above chart, and then make the following adjustments:
