The New Falke SK2 Women's ski sock offers a medium volume with a warming material for all day warmth. The heel, ankle and shinbone feature pressure reduction areas. Being women's specific it has a lower and reshaped calf
The SK2 is our go-to all round sock for someone wanting anything other than a precision race fit. It offers the right balance of protection and warmth, and is a good sock choice for those having ne ski boot fittings who want a bias on comfort without loss of feedback.
We are often asked why someone should spend a bit more money on 1 pair of ski socks when you can often buy much cheaper socks at outlets and high street stores. The answer is simple, one good pair of ski socks will outlast several pairs of low end or 'tube' socks. Even those featuring padded areas may not have the technically designed yarns that Falke use to transport moisture away from the foot to keep the foot as dry as possible so that the elements are not allowed to compromise your comfort.
The SK2 features asymmetrical base, shin, Achilles and ankle padding areas, with thinner sections to transport moisture away from the foot. An oversized elasticated top keeps the sock firmly on place too.

OUR OPINION
As we say our go-to sock for all-round performance. It is padded without being bulky, and offers a balance of warmth and protection without loss of feel when skiing. They keep the feet as dry as possible in turn protecting them from the elements, and are easy to care for and will last for years. A great ski sock. We would much rather have a pair of these under the Christmas tree over a multi-pack of sports socks :o)
IS IT FOR ME?
For all levels of skier, this is a medium padded and volume sock so will work fine for most customers including those having boots custom moulded who are not after a race style fit.
Our Advice:
Don't cut costs on your socks; they are the interface between your geet and your boots and therefore very important! Go for a close fit.

Socks vary in volume, that's why it's worth investing in a few pairs of good socks and sticking with the same brand and model. Look at our descriptions for the volumes of our socks. Mid-volumes remain the most popular.

An email is automatically sent to the email address you enter when ordering, we cannot set skis up until we receive your reply to this email. You CAN add priority shipping to a ski order, this will move you into a priority position in the workshop for waxing and setup (Once we have your data) but is not a next day service. UK SHIPPING  PLEASE NOTE: Free Shipping on orders over £50 is available for the Mainland UK only, and therefore does not include the Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands.

Your ski and snowboard sock makes a huge difference to boot comfort, warmth and control.
We cannot recommend strongly enough investing in good quality ski socks. Modern technical ski socks are designed to perform inside a ski or snowboard boot under the conditions you will experience.
Modern socks have padding in the right places, and then thinner material where it is not required to help transport moisture from the foot and aid a closer fit.
Moisture is the key thing to consider - you can sweat up to half a pint of water in a day’s skiing, and that sweat can collect in fabric. On a ski chair, in comes the wind chill to cool the moisture in your socks, chilling your feet. Therefore a technical sock will do a better job of keeping your feet dry and warm.
Technical ski socks are harder wearing than tube socks so you only need to buy a couple of pairs to treat your feet to the comfort they deserve. In-resort, thanks to high wicking materials, they can be hand washed in the evening and will dry overnight. Merino wool is often used for warmth without the itchy feeling some fear, or we offer wool-free alternatives for those with specific allergies.
