Product Description K2 is concentrating on Its Baseline Technology this season and has re-mastered its entire range to push the boundaries of ski performance. With K2's baseline Technology they have combined camber with varying degrees of rocker, proving benefits of each to create a range of superior skis. This allows the camber to supply the edge hold, control and rebound, while rocker provides a greater degree of versatility, ease of use and an increased sweet spot.
The Shockwave offers a smooth blend of performance, forgiveness and stability. this balance is achieved by combining a versatile 78mm waist width, moderate sidecut and game changing All-Terrain Rocker that helps initiate turns on hard snow and keeps the ski from deflecting in variable snow.
Features of the Shockwave include:
All-terrain Rocker: All-Terrain rocker is the most versatile Baseline available. Featuring an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance and camber underfoot for power, energy and edge hold in firmer conditions.
MOD Technology and MOD Monic: This functions by absorbing vibrations and impact loads along the entire ski providing a stronger edge hold and a higher degree of power and control. MOD is a secondary core that flexes and moves on top of the primary core allowing the overall ski flex to be unaffected. They have altered the structure of the Mod Monic (this is the solid zinc mass that works in conjunction with Mod Structure to focus mass damping at a targeted area) for both mens and womens skis. On the mens skis you will now find that the Mod Monic is slightly heavier and X shaped to further compliment the MOD structure form.
Triaxial Braiding: This consists of braiding fibreglass around a wood core to provide torsional rigidity for added control. This Unique, patented method produces skis with great torsional strength, while maintaining the lively flex patterns of the wood core.
Our Opinion The Shockwave will handle all conditions, however it excels on groomed runs.

Is This For Me? This is a very versatile ski and would ideally suit an intermediate who is predominantly on piste, but looking to find powder under the lift lines or along the sides of the piste.
PLEASE NOTE: When we sell skis and snowboards, we book them into our workshop for a full clean and wax before shipping. The wax supplied on new boards and skis is NOT suitable for long term use. By waxing properly before use, the life of your new skis or board will be prolonged, and it will simply perform better! We offer this service free of charge.
For skis, we will also send you an email asking you to confirm your weight, height, ski ability and the length of your ski boot, which is stamped on the heel of your boot normally.
