The Volkl name is synonymous with alpine ski racing and they have been active in international professional racing since 1970. This has allowed Volkl to develop numerous technical achievements as well as constantly pushing them for real innovation in all their ski models. This has led them to develop the new SPEEDWALL and POWER SWITCH (INDIVIDUAL) technology for the 2010/11 season.

This Season the Tigershark combines racing prowess with versatility and elegance; stable at high speeds and precise in all snow conditions. The lightweight of the newly developed Tigershark 10ft is accomplised thanks to a reduced 3D cross-section and its new Speedride binding. The result is greater agility and nimbleness. The new sidecut provides extra support for the skier and boasts a razor sharp 3D design. The hybrid surface of the ski is gorgeous to look at: Matt black meets glinting Kromica.

Features of The Tigershark 10Feet include:

XTD Wood Core: In the XTD WOOD CORE, a full wooden core has been integrated on both sides of the skis. This construction, with two unrelated wooden cores throughout the entire length of the ski, is responsible for the precise edge grip and greater stability at higher speeds.

Double Grip XTD: Since the invention of the carving style, an optimum edge grip has been an essential component of skiing. In order to make the spread of power over the edges of the skis as good as possible, VÖLKL has developed the DOUBLE GRIP principle: double the height, double the edge grip! With DOUBLE GRIP XTD, the additional WOOD CORE stretches through the entire length of the ski. The constant flex of the skis becomes rounder and more harmonious as a result. The result is the best and most precise edge grip that has ever been developed. Unshakable hold that you can rely on, so you can carve your tracks in the snow at high speed.


Our Opinion
A fun piste ski that requires you to ski hard to get the best out of it. We found that once at speed this ski is extremely quick in the turns and responds very well to aggressive carving, cutting through the crud and anything else that gets in its way. Although it lacks the Powerswitch of the Tigershark 11feet, it still packs an awesome punch and should be skied aggressively.

Is This For Me?
If you can't afford the 11feet, or you dont feel you are up to the standard to make judgements dependant on terrain and conditions then the 10ft are great for you. This is a aggressive piste ski that packs a punch and will get you to the bottom of the mountain, windblown, and with a huge grin over your face.



PLEASE NOTE: When we sell skis and snowboards, we book them into our workshop for a full clean and wax before shipping. The wax supplied on new boards and skis is NOT suitable for long term use. By waxing properly before use, the life of your new skis or board will be prolonged, and it will simply perform better! We offer this service free of charge.

For skis, we will also send you an email asking you to confirm your weight, height, ski ability and the length of your ski boot, which is stamped on the heel of your boot normally.
