Product DetailsSnowpulse SA develops backpacks integrating an avalanche airbag. Our products significantly increase survival chances in case of avalanches. Snowpulse products will be available in more than 17 countries from winter 2009-2010.

Our OpinionWe are big fans of this product, the safety and reassurance it gives to the adventurous skier justifies the price tag, and being swiss made, the quality is top notch.
Unlike other airbag systems, this system has NO CHARGE, so you can take the cannister in your hold luggage without issue, and then use the backpack as your hand luggage.
There is ample storage for probe, shovel etc, and everything is where it should be.
The bag comes complete with an instructional DVD to demonstrate how to deploy the system, and also how to prepare and decommisison the bag for flying. Also contained are instructions on how to fold the system back in, and information for airlines in case of issues at the check-in desk!
For charging, as it is an air based system it is much easier and safer to do. We offer a charging service here with a 7 day turnaround, as when re-charging all seals are checked and/or replaced to ensure perfect operation. This costs £30 per charge. We also hold replacement cannisters here, so if you are in a hurry and need a recharge we offer a swapping service.
