K2 break their skis down into a few categories to make it easier for you to work out which K2 Ski is best for you.

All K2 skis feature BASELINE ROCKER, which is a combination of rocker skis with camber, to give you as much versatility as possible: 

	This is K2’s most common rocker, and is on the majority of the K2 AMP All-Mountain skis, and women’s Super Series models. It has a slightly increased lift on the tip of the ski so that it floats in softer snow, but 100% of the edge is available when carving the ski on it’s edge.
	K2 Speed Rocker is featured on skis with a piste bias such as the K2 Charger 2012 skis. They have a smaller tip rocker so will ski well in all snow conditions found on marked pistes. The edge is as close to 100% at all times, hence the ‘speed’ name! This makes for a fast piste carving ski which can handle slush and crud easily.
	K2 Powder Rocker does what it says on the tin – It offers high performance in powder snow situations. Unlike FULL rocker though, there is still a small amount of camber, and less rise at the tail, so you still have a very versatile ski that when carved 80% of the edge will be available. So these are more versatile than a full rocker powder ski.
	K2 Catch Free Rocker is the first of K2’s rocker technologies, and is aimed at the novice skier. It uses the lift in the tip and the tail to make it easier to initiate and exit the turn, making for an easy turning, and confidence inspiring ski.
	K2 JIB Rocker is in effect a flat ski camber profile with heavy and even tip and tail rocker. This makes it ideal for spins and tricks in the part, and the core and sidewalls of the ski are matched to offer plenty of ‘pop’ when executing jumps too. The ski can still be used across the mountain as it has a full working edge for carving
